He studied Graphic Design at Bournville College of Arts, Cultural Studies at the University of Birmingham and Architecture at the Polytechnic of Central London and Westminster University. In 1998, he was awarded a fellowship at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart. Shrigley\u2019s drawings, which explore materiality, have been exhibited at a range of art institutions, including the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart and the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Moderne de Saint-\u00c9tienne.
