EXPLORING NU ARCHITECTUUR-ATELIER

NU architectuuratelier is a Belgian office for architecture and design research whose ambition is to develop and question spatial projects in collaboration with artists or experts from different fields. By approaching the design process empathically, NU aims to make a qualitative contribution to our social and spatial environment.This book is NU’s first monographic publication. It shows some of the office’s main realisations through plans, drawings and photographs by Belgian architectural photographer Stijn Bollaert. NU architectuuratelier has been nominated several times for such national and international prizes as the EU Mies van der Rohe Award (2006 and 2013), the Grand Prix Archizinc Trophy (2006), the Provincial Architecture Prize East Flanders (2007), the Belgian Prize for Architecture and Energy (2013) and the Flemish Monuments Prize (2013).
